Kathryn "Kay" Snyder

KATHRYN KAY SNYDER Kathryn (Kay) Snyder was called home to be with her Heavenly Father, family and friends on October 27, 2008. Kay was born to Eugene and Nona Rowles in DuBois, Pennsylvania on October 9, 1938. She had 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Kay married Warren Snyder on February 24, 1957. They were married until 1991 and during that time had 2 children, Wanda and Warren. She loved her children, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Kay was a lover of animals and was a member of the Humane Society and also the ASPCA. She especially enjoyed the company of her 3 cats. She cared about others more than herself and was a wonderful "best friend". Her smile and sense of humor were contagious. Kay was a fighter and above all a survivor. She finally lost her 34 year battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her sister Doris Ezell and her mother and father. She is survived by: her brothers, Eugene Rowles, William Rowles, Robert Rowles, Fay Rowles and Charles Rowles and her sisters, Eunice Petty, Barbara Rodas and Sara Gunderson, her daughter Wanda Martin and husband Chuck of Cortez, her son Warren Snyder and his wife Lisa of Tijeras, New Mexico, her grandchildren Cody Martin and his wife Amy of Farmington New Mexico, Sheridan Olin and her husband Justin of Grand Junction, Colorado, Robin Martin of Cortez, Jake Martin and his fiance Kathryn Green of Cortez, Jessica, Rachel and Warren Adam Snyder all from Tijeras, New Mexico, great grandchildren Alex and Tyler Martin of Farmington, New Mexico and Sierra and Colton Olin of Grand Junction, Colorado. She is loved, will be missed and always remembered.
