KATHERINE ROSE WYATT Funeral services for Cahone resident Katherine Rose Wyatt will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1 at the Montezuma-Cortez High School Auditorium. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. The daughter of Lloyd William and Barbara Julia (Bailey) Gates, Katherine was born on January 23, 1953 in Santa Monica, Calif. She passed away on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. On December 3, 1971, Katherine married Randall L. Wyatt in Ventura, Calif. Family was most important to Katherine, she cherished time spent with her loved ones. Her six grandchildren were her pride and joy. Surviving Katherine are her husband of 34 years, Randall Wyatt of Cahone; her parents, Lloyd and Barbara Gates of Camarillo, Calif.; and her children, Tanya Lynn Wyatt and Dirk Richards of Nucla, Jason Randall Wyatt and fiancé, Joslyn Fredette of Durango, Justin Randall Wyatt and wife, Brianna Lynn of Cahone, and Jarrod Randall Wyatt and wife, Colette of Cortez. She also leaves behind her siblings, Keith Thomas of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lela Babauta and husband, Joe of Oxnard, Calif., Laura McLucas and husband, Glen of Camarillo, Calif., and Robert Thomas and wife, Irma of Camarillo, Calif.; and her grandchildren, Savannah, Destry, Hailee, Aspen, Kaiden and Ethan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Katherine Wyatt fund in her memory at Vectra Bank.
