KARL ROBERT McGEE Memorial services for Dolores resident Karl Robert McGee will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastors Barr Chittick and David Dahl will officiate. Karl was born the son of Thomas Leo and Pauline Elanora (Dunn) McGee on March 30, 1966 in Tribune, Kans. Karl passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the age of 45. On August 13, 1988, Karl married Katrina Lynn Harding in Abilene, Kan. Karl was a teacher and coach for most of his life having worked at Wichita North High School in Wichita, Kan., McPherson High School in McPherson, Kan., and most recently at Montezuma-Cortez High School in Cortez. Karl enjoyed coaching and was an avid sports enthusiast. His wife and children were the center of his world. He loved them with all his heart. Surviving Karl are his wife, Katrina McGee of Dolores; his children, Katlynn and Konnar McGee of Dolores; and his brothers, Shawn McGee and his children, Katie and Mike of Littleton, Colo., and Bill McGee and family of Qatar. Karl was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund established at Dolores State Bank in Dolores and Cortez.
