Judith Elaine "Judi" Gilpin

JUDITH ELAINE “JUDI” GILPIN Judith Elaine “Judi” Gilpin was born in December 7, 1947 in Cortez, the daughter of Howard and Emma Eileen (Pratt) VanPelt. She passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango at the age of 59. Judi enjoyed 21 years of marriage to her husband, Jessey Joy Gilpin. She was a local business owner for 25 years, and Judi loved spending time with her husband. Surviving Judi are her husband, Jessey Gilpin of Cortez; her mother, Emma VanPelt of Cortez; and her children, Luke Roberts of Mountainville, Ark., Jeff Roberts of Cortez, Marc Roberts of Chicago, Ill., Mary Ellen Duncomb and husband, John, Judith Elaine Bulington and husband, Brian, Raymond Earl Gilpin and wife, Joan, and Jessey J. Gilpin Jr. all of Idaho. Numerous grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a brother, Monty VanPelt and wife, Sheila of Wyoming; and a sister, Cheryl Benson and husband, Gary of Colorado also survive Judi. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Hoyt Van Pelt. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
