Joylene Dolores Wilkerson

Memorial services for Cortez resident Joylene Dolores ‘Joy’ Wilkerson will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints M Road Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery.
Joy was born January 13, 1927 in Mancos, CO the daughter of Lewis Edward and Elise Elizabeth (Baker) Willden. She passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 92.
Surviving Joy are her daughter, Jody Mealing-Dyson (David) of Cortez, CO; her sisters, Betty High of Farmington, NM, and Donna Landoll of Grand Junction, CO; her grandchildren, Michael Wilkerson and Camie Funk; and her great grandchild, Jax Funk. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Lew and Elsie Willden; her spouse, J.T. Wilkerson Jr.; her son, Cory Wilkerson; and her brothers, LaVal Willden and Floyd Willden.
