Joyce Marie Hughes

JOYCE HUGHES Joyce Hughes, 71, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 surrounded by her family in Cortez, CO. Even though she liked to travel, most of her life was lived in Cortez. Joyce was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She always had a smile and enjoyed bringing a smile to those around her. Country western dancing, walking around the park and socializing with friends and family were among her favorite past times. She was the proud mother of Joanie Espinoza, Jimmy Foster, Jeanie Wilkin, Bobby Hughes of Cortez and Desiree Peterson of Norco, Cali. She loved her 12 grandchildren; Ricky Espinoza, Jessica Flores, Kimberly Ruiz, Tiffany Foster, Amanda Winter, Rebecca Foster, Dominique, Tanya, Charlee, and Kambria Wilkin, Drake and Courtney Peterson. Her 9 great grandchildren and companion D'Royce Higgins held a very special place in her heart. Among her siblings survived are Lora Remer, Jeanette Risenhoover, John and George Barnett. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Riley Barnett and Dorothy Bell Barnett, her siblings; Mary Barnett, Robert Barnett, Emma Axtell, Gilbert Barnett and Steven Barnett. We are consoled knowing our loved one is two stepping in heaven with Jesus.
