JOSEPHINE MARIE ANTHONY Funeral services for rural Dolores resident, Josephine Marie 'Josie' Anthony will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Summit Ridge Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Josie was born May 24, 1925 in rural Dolores to Charles Roelker and Edwina (Waechter) Roelker. She passed away at the Vista Grande Nursing Home on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the age of 79. Josie graduated from Dolores High School in 1943 and remained in the area that she deeply loved. She raised her four children on her own, ready to work hard in order to provide. She worked for some time for Nielsons Inc. as a field officer weighing trucks and also as a bartender. Josie loved her children and gave them so very much. She enjoyed time spent in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Surviving Josie are her daughters, Winnie J. Anthony of Dolores, Debra L. Doria of Las Vegas, Nev., and Linda K. Fisher of Ridge Crest, Calif. Her grandchildren, Deanna Doria of Las Vegas, Nev., Staci Fisher and Brittani Fisher of Ridge Crest, Calif., also survive her. Josie was preceded in death by her only son, Charles W. Anthony in 1984; grandchild, Kelly Geisinger in 1997; one brother, Alfred Roelker; and a sister, Louise Roelker.
