Joseph Edwin Arado

Funeral Mass for Mancos resident Joseph Edwin Arado will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Mancos, CO. Reverend Pat Valdez, C.R. will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Veterans of Montezuma County. A Rosary will take place from 6 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Ertel Memorial Chapel.
Joseph was born June 20, 1929 in Chicago, IL the son of Joseph Peter and Ann Gertrude (Bielski) Arado. He passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, CO at the age of 90.
Surviving Joseph are his son, Mark Arado of Thornton, CO; his step-son, Roger Papesh of CA; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his sweetheart and very best friend, Mary Alice Gonzales of Mancos, CO. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents.
