JOHNNY LEE DONALDSON A celebration of life for longtime Cortez resident Johnny Lee Donaldson will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20 at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds indoor arena. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Pastor Anthony Maes will officiate. A visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Johnny was born on September 11, 1929 in Cortez the son of Frank and Violet (Baysinger) Donaldson. He passed away at his home on Friday, August 15, 2008 at the age of 78. Johnny loved spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies included hunting, rodeo, and family. Surviving Johnny are his wife, Pauline Ruth Donaldson of Cortez; his children, Johnny Donaldson Jr. and wife, Connie Mae of Tse Bonito, N.M., Jimmy Lynn Donaldson of Tse Bonito, N.M. and Deborah June Klein, also of Tse Bonito, N.M.; his grandchildren, Shane, Shawn, Josh, Gary, Tracey, Joey, Matthew, Nickie, Brandy, Terry, Troy, Dustin, and Sheldon; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Diane and Donald; and his siblings, Charlie Donaldson, Glen Fletcher, Fred Fletcher, Marvin Fletcher, and Dorothy Fletcher.
