John Ray Kindred

December 20, 1947 — February 23, 2012

JOHN RAY KINDRED John Ray Kindred was born on December 20, 1947 to John Ross and Neva Faye (George) Kindred. He passed away at his Cortez home on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the age of 64. John served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He worked as a carpet layer. John loved his grandchildren and enjoyed taking walks. Surviving John are his wife, Denise Burton of Cortez; his children, Terrence Shawn Kindred of Spring Valley, Calif., Jessica Garner and husband, Steven of Price, Utah, Oakley Kutnyak of Boise, Idaho, Jesse Stevens and wife, Jolice of Lakewood, Colo., and Jacquline Vinson of Woodland Park, Colo.; his eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; his siblings, Leon F. Kindred and wife, Chin of Colorado Springs, Colo., Glenn S. Kindred and wife, Diana of England, and Sam Primeau and husband, Tom of Dolores; his nephews, Michael Kindred, Daniel and Christopher Kindred, and Andrew Primeau; and his niece, Robin Primeau. John was preceded in death by his father, Ross Kindred; mother, Neva Kindred; and his father who raised him, Glenn D. Kindred. Cremation will take place, and a celebration/wake will be held at Angel's End Zone on North Broadway in Cortez, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, March 1st.
