JOHN DINAE SR. Funeral services for lifelong area resident, John Dinae Sr. will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 7 at Ertel Memorial Chapel with interment following at Cortez Cemetery. John was born on December 25, 1928 in Red Valley, Ariz. the son of Nakaidinae Litsoii Biye and Mary Begay. He passed away at his home on Sunday, November 3, 2013. John was 84 years old. John is survived by his children, Gloria Morgan and husband, Ted of Arizona and their children, Charles and Tanya, Johnson Dinae and wife, Charlotte of Shiprock, N.M. and their child, Carletta, John Dinae Jr. of Arizona, Albert Dinae and wife, Lena of Shiprock, N.M., Laverne Dinae of Arizona, Jonathan Dinae and wife, Ronda of Cortez and their children, Jeffrey, Joshua, Jowan, and Jalen, Jolanda Jacket and husband, Scott of Cortez and their children, Conrad, Scottie, Scott and Tyrell, and Marvin Coyote and Montgomery Coyote both of Cortez; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving John are his sisters and brothers, Irene Begay, Bessie Clah, Joe Begay, Paul NakaiDinae, Harry Nakai Begay, and Arthur Nakai Begay all of Arizona. John was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Betty Ann Harrison Dinae.
