JOAN HOLLOWAY SIGEL Joan Holloway Sigel passed away at her home in Cortez on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the age of 76. She was born the daughter of Paul E. and Linda E. (Nitsche) Holloway in Camden, N.J. on September 23, 1930. Joan was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion in Florida. She was a very friendly person who never knew a stranger. In her spare time Joan enjoyed gardening, cooking and collecting recipes. She liked reading British mysteries and western novels. Surviving Joan are her children, Justine V. Sigel and husband, Phillip Dittmer of Port Lucie, Fla. and Paula Ann Ludwick of Cortez; her granddaughters, Anya C. Tuerk, Sarah A. Coker and Heidi L. Sesler; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa J. Coker and Joseph M. Chavez Jr.; her brother, Nelson G. Holloway of New Jersey; her cousins, Dorothy Pagano, Sharon Corey, Donnie Scheirer, and Jimmy Scheirer, all of New Jersey; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Charlotte Cannava and family; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Hillary E. Ludwick and Albert G. Sigel, and her partner of 28 years, Robert E. Cannava. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to the American Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
