Jimmy Lemuel Mcdonald

Funeral services for Jimmy Lemuel McDonald will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Arriola Cemetery. Jimmy was born November 26, 1962 in Cortez, Colorado, the son of Joe Joy and Uel Faith (Carver) McDonald. He passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of 55. Jimmy worked for Triad Western for 28 years moving on to HDR, INC as a Construction Manager. Jimmy said, "if you're going to work then you work hard" - and that is just what he did. He made great friends along the way. He was a member of the Church of the First Born. He enjoyed hunting, camping, a day out on the lake fishing and making knives. His family is what he enjoyed the most. Always saying, "Home is my happy place". Surviving Jimmy are his wife, Doris McDonald of Cortez, CO; his children, Lacey Rubin (Michael) of Miami, AZ, Jennifer Smith (David) of Farmington, NM, Lacey Ray (Brad) of Cortez, CO, Sarah Dawn McDonald of Cortez, CO; his siblings, Joe McDonald and Johnny McDonald both of Cortez, CO, Rick McDonald (Bobbie) of Lewis, CO, Tim McDonald (Heather) of Yellow Jacket, CO, Larry McDonald (Jackie) of Carlin, NV, Dennis Hackett (Karen) of Dolores, CO, Henry Hackett (CoralAnn) of Delta, CO.; and 6 grandchildren, Austin Rubin, Aiden Rubin, Ashton Rubin, Paytin Ray, Ariyah Ray and Adaline Smith. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings Joylene Becher, Debbie McDonald and Roland McDonald.
