JIM CARL LEE Graveside inurnment services for Cortez, Colo. resident Jim Carl Lee will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 3 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Jim was born on January 30, 1927 in Ft. Sumner, N.M. to Charles Henderson and Callie (McAdams) Lee. He passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home at the age of 85. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy from February 1943 to October 1944. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed exercising at the Cortez Recreation Center and listening to western music. Surviving Jim are his siblings, Lola Lee of Cortez, Lillie Ingram of Clovis, N.M., Mary Lair of Pennsylvania, and Tommy Lee and wife, Darlene of Austin, Tex.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Callie Lee; and his siblings, John Henry Lee, Millie Cribley, Roy Lee, and Deann Lee.
