JESSIE LEE TRACY Jessie Lee Tracy was born on July 17, 1937 in Estancia, N.M. the son of Holland Lee and Ophilia B. (Counts) Tracy. He passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his Cortez residence at the age of 71. Jessie worked on the North Shore of Alaska on an oil pipeline. He and a crew of 90 built the flow station that transported oil through the Alaskan Pipeline. Jessie and his wife, Hope manufactured pottery together. He enjoyed time spent hunting and fishing. Surviving Jessie are his wife, Hope Tracy of Cortez; his sons, Andrew Allmon of Cortez, and Arthur Allmon of Tucson, Ariz.; and his siblings, Willie Counts and wife, Diana of Lovington, N.M., Bertie Marah and husband, Mike of Cedaredge, Colo., and Rita Kay Wahe of Fort Sumner, N.M. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Phyllis Sparks. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Jessie's memory to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Box 740, Cortez or to the American Cancer Society.
