JESSE DANIEL "J.D." ROSE Funeral services for longtime Dolores resident, Jesse Daniel "J.D." Rose, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 26 at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery. Pastor Bruce Burkett will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75. J.D. was born in Big Flat, Ark. on January 8, 1925 to John Oscar and Daisy Mae (Crisp) Rose. He passed away at Vista Grande Inn in Cortez on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the age of 90. Surviving J.D. are his children, Kathy Barney (Randy) of Phoenix, Ariz., Danny Rose, Johnny Rose, Terry Rose, Chris Rose (Gail Litil), and Mark Rose all of Dolores; by six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; his siblings, Lorraine Rossi (Robert) of Mack, Colo., Clarice Marshall (Virgil) of Grand Junction, Colo.; Max Rose (Corky) of Clifton, Colo., Bernadine Farris of Kenniwick, Wash., George Rose of Mountain View, Ark., Lila Ward of Clinton, Ark., Nancy Anderson and Glenda Oetting (Bruce) all of Mountain View, Ark.; and his brother-in-law, Bill Ragland of Dolores. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife of 70 years, Alice Rose; a son, Stephen Rose; and two sisters, Donna Ragland and Shirley Baker.
