JEREMY MICHAEL BEN Funeral services for Jeremy Michael Ben, a lifelong resident of Pion, Ariz. will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2 at the Chinle Catholic Church. Sister Theresa Chato will officiate. Interment will follow at the Whippoorwill Community Cemetery. Jam, as he was known to family and friends, was born March 5, 1983 in Phoenix, Ariz. the son of Jackson and Colleen Anne (Wagner) Ben. He passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the age of 31. Very active, Jam found activities that were fast and exciting. He loved riding motocross and ATVs and drove two family sponsored vehicles called "Mud Attack" and "Muddy Playboy". He was a sports fanatic through and through; participating in a basketball team and was known as DA' Seaman", and Jam football and watching UFC as well. The Ben family ran a marathon relay, calling themselves the "Todich'inii 5". Showing a different side, Jam took part in singing NAC songs. Surviving Jam are his mother and father, Jackson and Colleen Ben of Pion, Ariz.; his wife, Tanisha Tsosie of Round Rock, Ariz.; his son, Jalen Michael Ben also of Round Rock, Ariz., maternal grandmother, Rita Wagner of Pion, Ariz.; paternal grandfather, Haskie Ben of Whippoorwill, Ariz.; siblings, Jerrick Ben of Pion, Ariz., Vinona James and husband, Jaren of Whippoorwill, Ariz., Jerrin Ben of Pion, Ariz., and Marvena Ben also of Pion, Ariz.; one niece, Siena Ben; and two nephews, Jeriden Ben and Jaivyn Leonard. Jam was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nellie Ben. Jam loved his son, that was well known! He was a compassionate and caring person who was admired and respected by many.
