JEREMIAH RAYMOND BERRY Funeral services for Cortez resident Jeremiah Raymond Berry will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Jeremiah was born August 8, 1987 in Silver City, N.M. and he passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at his home at the age of 24. Jeremiah took great pride in the care and raising of his animals. He loved them dearly. Jeremiah always looked forward to his Wednesdays spent at the sale barn where he would help a local veterinarian treat the animals. Surviving Jeremiah are his mother, Rita Berry of Cortez; his siblings, Rachel Berry, Rebecca Lopez and husband, Martin, Joshua Berry, and Johnny Berry, all of Cortez, and J.W. Berry of El Paso, Tex.; his nephews and nieces, Gabriel Lopez, Adrien Lopez, Dalton Muzzy, and Faith McCormick; and by his special friend, Kayla Dickenson of Durango.
