JENNIFER JO IMM VAVRA DALABA Graveside services for Mancos resident Jennifer Jo Imm Vavra Dalaba will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 3 at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Jenny was born on February 26, 1951 in Cortez the daughter of Karl Max and Violet Ellen (Dennison) Imm. She passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age 57. Jenny grew up in Cortez and graduated from M.C.H.S. in 1969. She married Frankie Lee Vavra on March 1, 1974. To this union was born their son, Jeffrey Ray Vavra. Frankie was seriously injured in a car accident not long after their marriage, resulting in his being paralyzed from the neck down. Jenny cared for him for a year until his death on June 5, 1976. Jenny married Thomas Lee Dalaba of Mancos on October 14, 1977. Jenny cared for him and his parents for many years. She spent many hours at the nursing home with Tom during his last years, and on the phone talking to him. Tom passed away on April 8, 2008. Jenny was a kind and loving person, and a good caretaker for those she loved. She also loved her cats and dogs, and often took in strays. Surviving Jenny are her son, Jeff and his wife, Katrina; her five grandchildren, Justice, Sebastian, Dylan, Isabella, and Natalia of Wichita, Kan. She also leaves her brother, Michael Imm and wife, Barbara of Cortez; her sister, Karleen Ellis of Fredonia, Ariz.; seven nephews and nieces; her aunts, Mary Ann Smith of Cortez, Willie Faye Rule of Cheyenne, Wyo., Alice Marie and husband, Al of Hawley, Tex., Lavina Saathoff and husband, Arlyss of Ackley, Iowa, Jenny Bush and husband, Emil of Brainerd, Minn., and Irene Davis of Duluth, Minn.; and numerous cousins. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Frankie and Tom; her grandparents, Roy and Jenny Dennison and August and Margaret Imm; and numerous aunts and uncles, including Joy Cash and Leroy Dennison.
