Jeanne De Beixedon Goodwin

Olive Jeanne de Beixedon (Lovett) Goodwin was born Aug 27, 1926 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Philip C. and Leontine Marie Louie de Beixedon. She passed away peacefully at her home in Cortez on March 29th, 2021 at the age of 94.
Jeanne moved with her family at an early age from Iowa to Beverly Hills, California and attended school with her brother Philip. Jeanne graduated from Marlborough High School in Los Angeles and studied art at UCLA. She relocated to Mancos, Colorado with her first husband, Emery Lovett, and in 1960 moved with the family to Cortez. She married Vic Goodwin in 1969 and together they ran Vic’s Photos until retiring.
Jeanne was an avid reader, an intellect, an adventurer, a world traveler, an artist, and a master of calligraphy. She was a 50 year member of PEO, Chapter EV. Jeanne was an incredible swimmer, and was never far from a puzzle or “Words With Friends.” She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.
Jeanne is survived by five children, Kathy Moritz of Boulder, CO, John Lovett and fiancée Catherine of Edwards, CO, Kevin Lovett and wife Debbie of Cortez, CO, Bill Lovett and wife Catrin of Homer, AK, Philip Goodwin and wife Caroline of Boulder, CO; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
