JEANETTE SIDNEY LEIGHTON Memorial services for Cortez resident, Jeanette Sidney Leighton will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 29 at Evangel Assembly of God Church. Pastor Linda Talbert will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery at a later date. Jeanette was born on January 9, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Okla. the daughter of Orville and Hazel Pauline (Roark) Brasier. She passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Vista Grande Inn. Jeanette was 76 years old. Surviving Jeanette are her children, Randy Bishop and wife, Nana of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Janet Leighton of Grand Junction, Colo., Teresa Gallegos and husband, Danny of Dolores; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and her sister, Sharon Holmes and husband, Ed of Grand Junction, Colo. Preceding her in death are her parents, Orville and Hazel Brasier; her daughter, Kiffany Bishop Davis; and siblings, Clarence Brasier and Camilla Brasier.
