Jean Guthrie

Private services were held for lifelong Cortez resident, Jean Guthrie. Jean Guthrie was born September 11, 1936 the daughter of Edwin and Christine (Thomas) Gorman. She passed away on November 17, 2015 at her residence at the age of 79. Jean married James Henry Guthrie on March 23, 1983 in Santa Fe, N.M. She enjoyed camping, but most of all Jean loved her horses. At a young age she began training them and they were her passion. Jean is survived by her husband, Jim. Jean was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jean to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Box 740, Cortez, CO 81321.
