Jan Truitt Williams

Jan Truitt Williams was born September 13, 1954 in Clarendon, TX the son of J.R. and Jean Williams.
Jan attended school in Pagosa Springs and Cortez, CO. In high school he worked as a DJ at the Cortez radio station. After college, Jan served as an aide to Senator Bill Armstrong, then returned to the radio waves in the news department at KIUP in Durango, CO where he won an AP award. He later became a real estate broker in Denver, CO and Phoenix, AZ. Jan loved the mountains and was always seriously looking for gold. He had an unrivaled sense of humor.
Jan died at his home June 22, 2021 in Cahone, CO after lifelong health issues. He is survived by his sister, Sharon McAnear of Durango, CO.
