James Phillip "Junior" Johnson

JAMES PHILLIP "JUNIOR" JOHNSON Funeral services for lifelong Cahone resident James Phillip "Junior" Johnson will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cahone Cemetery. Junior was born April 1, 1923 in Cahone the son of James Albert and Dottie Florence (Cook) Johnson. He passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 89. On August 31, 1945 Junior married Barbara Maxine Long in Aztec, N.M. Junior was a former member of Masons and he enjoyed time spent outdoors hunting and fishing. Surviving Junior are his wife of 66 years, Maxine Johnson of Cahone; his children, James Hughston Johnson and wife, Pamiel of Pleasant View, Barbara Johnson of Lewis, Mark Johnson and wife, Linda of Cortez, and Rodney Johnson and wife, Berlinda of Cahone; five grandchildren; and by his siblings, Maxine Felkins of Cortez, and Bernadine Beasley and husband, Lee of Pleasant View. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Barbara Lynn Johnson; and a sister, Delphine Baird.
