James Kenneth Johnson
James Kenneth Johnson was born August 27, 1923 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Cynthia and Emmit Johnson as the eldest of three children. He passed away at Vista Grande Care Center in Cortez, Colorado, at age 100 plus years. He graduated from Nucla High School in 1942, and is known for working in the mines, mills, electric power generation, and ranching in the West End.
James was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and his wife. He is survived by five children; Derrill, Jami, Sara, Brandon, and Aaron. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
His best life was spent on the back of a horse tending to his cows. He will be greatly missed.
