JAMES ARLIS HIGH James Arlis High was born December 26, 1923 in Stone County, Mo. the son of William Alfred and Sarah Elizabeth (Garrison) High. He passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 87. Arlis worked at First National Bank for many years where he held the position of Vice President. Arlis was well known as the motorcycle riding business man in years past. He loved riding his motorcycle. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. Surviving Arlis are his wife, Elizabeth High of Texas; his daughters, Carla High of Farmington, N.M. and Lori High Davis and husband, Don of Pueblo, Colo.; and his five grandchildren, Lisa Scadden, Steven King, Kari King, Logan Shannon, and Keith Pierce. Arlis was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steven Kent High; and by five siblings. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arlis will be interred with his mother at Cortez Cemetery.
