Jack Grove Niemann

Graveside services for Cortez resident, Jack Grove Niemann will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 19 at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:30 pm to 6 pm on Friday, December 18 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Jack was born on September 29, 1928 in San Diego, Calif. the son of Carl and Ruth Grove Niemann. He passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at his home at the age of 87. Jack married Dee L. Rose on April 10, 1954 in Yuma, Ariz. Jack was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served in the Army. He loved woodworking and model trains. Jack is survived by his adopted daughter, Cindy Hynum and husband, Lee, of Dolores; his adopted grandchildren, Tyson Wolfe, Paisley Cobb and Summer Cobb; his adopted great grandchild Ava Wolfe; his brother-in-law, Jim Rose and wife, Eileen, of California; his sister-in-law, Linda McFarland and husband, Edgar, of Aztec, N.M.; and his cousin, Helen Testa, of Prescott, Ariz. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
