Ivan Clint Montgomery

IVAN CLINT MONTGOMERY Memorial services for lifelong Egnar resident Ivan Clint Montgomery will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 7 at the Dove Creek First Baptist Church. Ivan was born on February 21, 1952 in Monticello, Utah the son of Jonnie Pal and Sarah Celesta (Miller) Montgomery. He passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home at the age of 58. Ivan married Velda Seevers on January 15, 1972 in Telluride. He was a longtime member of the Egnar Fire Board. Ivan was a generous man, he was very dedicated to his work but was never too busy to help a friend or neighbor out. In his free time, Ivan enjoyed being outdoors. Time spent in the mountain and horse training brought him much happiness. Ivan enjoyed waterskiing, he was an active person. Surviving Ivan are his loving wife, Velda Montgomery of Egnar; and his children, Patrick Montgomery of Boulder, Colo., Troy Montgomery and wife, Monica of Egnar, and Nick Montgomery and wife, Patricia of Del Norte, Colo. Ivan also leaves behind his grandchildren, Samantha Arellano, Peyton Arellano, Cade Arellano, MacKenzie Montgomery, Morgan Montgomery, Briana Boyd, and Emma Boyd; and his siblings, Gladys Fowler and husband, Elmer of Grand Junction, Colo., Reva Connelly of Grand Junction, Colo., Dee Montgomery of Egnar, and Joan Gore and husband, LeRoy of Dove Creek. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Roy Montgomery, Lindell Montgomery, Fay Skidmore, and Laverne Dudley. Memorial contributions may be made in Ivan's name to Community Bank of Colorado in Dove Creek.
