IRENE DOLLAH HAMPTON Funeral services for area resident, Irene Dollah Hampton will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 3 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Arriola Cemetery. Irene was born on November 2, 1924 in Big Flat, Ark. the daughter of Simpson and Fannie Jane (Smith) Curtis. She passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Life Care Center of Farmington, N.M. Irene was 89 years old. Irene served as both secretary and treasurer for the Lewis Grange for many years. She was also a member of the Cortez Saddle Dusters. Fishing and hunting were activities Irene enjoyed. Surviving Irene are her children, Scott Decker and wife Dorothy of Wichita, Kan., Sandie Randol and husband, Robert of Farmington, N.M., Stephen Decker and wife, Kathy Harris of Cortez, and Patricia McDonald of Utah; daughter-in-law, Rosanna Decker of Pueblo, Colo.; adopted grandson, Mark Keahey and wife, Carmen of Mitten Rock, Ariz.; close friend, Rejenia Lackey of Cortez; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Preceding Irene in death are her parents, Simpson and Fannie Jane (Smith) Curtis; her first husband, Ivan Perry Decker; second husband, Charles Edward Hampton; her son, Sammy Dale Decker; and brother and sister, Isaac Curtis and Neda Weiss.
