IRENE BERNIECE ACKLES Funeral services for Irene Berniece Ackles a resident of Dolores will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary in Denver, Colo. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Irene was born the youngest of nine girls to Michael and Frances (Gerling) Ottele on January 12, 1912 in Elgin, Neb. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the age of 94. Surviving Irene are her children, James D. Ackles and wife, Kim of Dolores, and Althea Joan Newton and husband, Chuck of Westminster, Colo.; grandchildren, Stacia Arnold and husband, Robert of Clarksville, Tenn., Kori Ackles of Dolores, Colo., Steve Mendez and wife, Laura, Dave Mendez and wife, Sandy, Scott Mendez and wife, Robin, and Laura Meduna and husband, Darrell; and great grandchildren, Josh Mendez, Jake Mendez and Anthony Mendez.
