ILA MAE DEROSIER Funeral services for former Cortez resident, Ila Mae DeRosier, will be held at 10:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 26525 County Road M, Cortez, Colorado on July 18, 2017. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Ila Mae was born November 1, 1930 in Cortez, Colorado to Alexander and Myrtis (Tate) DeRosier. She passed away of natural causes on Monday, July 3, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ila Mae was married to Jack D. Allen on January 28, 1951. Surviving Ila Mae are her daughters, Sharon Loos and Tammy Adamson, her grandchildren, Christopher Loos, Brandon Loos, Travis Loos, Tanner Wegher, Tasha Englehart, and two great-grandchildren, Landen Englehart and Bailey Largent. She is predeceased by her daughters, Sandra Kaye Bear and Traci Lynn Allen. Ila Mae graduated from Cortez High School and was employed by Mountain States Bell Telephone for thirty years. Ila was an active member in the LDS church in Cortez as well as her church in Colorado Springs. She was known for her quick wit, her ability to make everyone feel at home, and to love everyone unconditionally. Her favorite things to do were visiting with friends and reading.
