Ignacio Theodore 'Ted' Gallegos

Funeral services for Cortez resident Ignacio Theodore ‘Ted’ Gallegos will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the First Assembly of God church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ertel Memorial Chapel from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019.
Ted was born July 31, 1930 in Edith, CO the son of Victor S. and Josephine (Archuleta) Gallegos. He passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at his residence at the age of 88.
Surviving Ted are his wife, Maria Gallegos of Cortez, CO; his children, Cindy Espinoza (Lino) of Henderson, NV, Margaret Archibeque of Cortez, CO, Jeff Gallegos (Melony) of Henderson, NV, Danny Gallegos (Connie) of Provo, UT, Valerie Gallegos (Todd Tucker) of Cortez, CO; his brothers, Raymond Gallegos (Theresa) of Phoenix, AZ, Billy Gallegos (Jean) of Phoenix, AZ; his sisters, Gomie Garcia (Eddie)of Stockton, CA, Rosie Martinez of Santa Rosa, CA; nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; and seven siblings.
