Ida Miller Collins Peog

Our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Ida Miller Collins Peog, was born, February 25, 1935 at Mary Ann Springs (farm and ranch) to the late Abe Peog and late Ada Collins. She went home peacefully to our Heavenly Father on August 21, 2021 at her residence on the Ute Mountain Reservation after battling an on-going illness. Ida leaves behind daughters, Euna H. Whiteman and Jeanette Coyote; son, Jon Paul Peog-Hight; nephews, Larry, Jerry, and Leon Collins Jr, Jackie, Blair, Kevin, and Thomas House Jr, all of Towaoc; nieces, Mona Ketchum, Lorna, Beverly, Loma House, and Emily Whiteman, all of Towaoc; grandchildren she raised as her own, Sandy Cuch (Warnell Cuch), Anita May, Corrina Lopez (Mindy Lopez), Lorrinda May, Desmond Lehi, Anfernee May, Dennis and Doreena Orange, Jerimetra Hight, Jarrett Twins; grandchildren, Manuel Heart (Marie), Henry Wing (Janice), Mark Wing (Rita), Sheldon Arrates, Henrietta Jones (Virgil), Roybal, Clarence, Frederick Whiteman, Cheyenne Wolfchief and Jimmy.
Ms. Ida had a large family with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren from the Ute Mountain/White Mesa, Southern Ute, Northern Ute Reservations, Hammon, OK, and surrounding areas.
Ida was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cora Collins Miller; brothers, Glymus Wells, Stewart and Wesley Ketchum, Aca House, Thomas House Sr, Duff House; sisters, Jean Ketchum (Albert Wing), Geradine Kingsley, Roberta Clark Whiteman, Evalina Mills Lopez, Mary Louise Hatch (Leroy Hatch Sr); niece, Dorinda Wing; nephew, Frederick Wing; grandson, Delmar May.
Ms. Ida was the granddaughter of the late Ute Mountain Ute Chief, John Miller; and the niece to Chief Jack House.
