Honk Donahoo

HONK DONAHOO Memorial services for Honk Donahoo will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 6 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Honk was born May 22, 1922 in Omaha, Neb., the son of Hubert John and Goldie (Graham) Donahoo. He passed away at his home on March 28, 2007 at the age of 84. On March 5, 1945, Honk married Betty Jane Keller. The couple shared 62 years of marriage. Honk was a proud member of the V.F.W. and the Sheriff’s Posse. He loved horses, especially teams of work horses. Honk had a favorite buggy mare named Betty. Surviving Honk are his wife, Betty Donahoo of Cortez; his sons, Dick Donahoo and wife, Paula and Gary Donahoo and wife, Syd, all of Cortez; his three granddaughters, Ann and Jill Donahoo, and Lanea McCluhan and husband, Mike; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
