Helga Eda Thrailkill

HELGA E. THRAILKILL A visitation for longtime Cortez resident, Helga E. Thrailkill will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 25 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place later this summer at Riverview Cemetery in Washburn, N.D. No other local services will be held. The daughter of Christ and Agatha (Bjort) Christensen, Helga was born on May 3, 1915 in Brainerd, Minn. She passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 90. Helga married Lester Raymond Thrailkill in Underwood, N.D. She enjoyed time spent sewing, knitting and gardening. Surviving Helga are her sons, Myron D. Thrailkill, Leland L. Thrailkill and wife, Eva, all of Cortez; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey and Tracy Thrailkill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; her son, Gary R. Thrailkill; and her siblings, Lars, Art, and Clarence Christensen, Nora Persinger, and Mabel Lorentzen. Services are being handled through the Ertel Funeral Home.
