HELEN VAN DOVER Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Helen Van Dover will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Cortez First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Helen was born December 16, 1928 in Andover, S.D. the daughter of Julius F. and Lucy Rose (Zimney) Dylla. She passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Morning Star Extended Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. at the age of 89. Surviving Helen are her daughters, Patricia Spelts (Robert) of Castle Rock, Colo., Susan C. Schweitzer (Dino) of Florissant, Colo., Rhonda Van Dover of Mesa, Ariz., and Shelley Arrasmith (Scott) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her grandchildren, Bradley Geist (Erin), Kiffany Lychock (Marc), Melissa Feeler (Robert), Curtis Schweitzer (Angela), Justin Schweitzer, Logan Arrasmith, Cortney Arrasmith, Chad Curtiss (Cara) and Cassandra McCraw; by 10 great-grandchildren; and by her siblings, Lawrence Dylla (Sharon) of Minnesota and George Dylla (Mick) of Watertown, S.D. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Eugene Ka Van Dover; and by nine siblings.
