Hazel May Hamilton

January 19, 1917 — March 11, 2007

HAZEL MAY HAMILTON Hazel May Hamilton was born on January 19, 1917 in Tuttle, Okla., the daughter of Henry Jackson and Maude E. (Webster) Felkins. She passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 90. Hazel married Elmer M. “Dutch” Hamilton on September 16, 1949 in Aztec, N.M. She was a lifetime member of the Ute Mountain American Legion Auxiliary. Hazel was a great bowler who kept her home immaculately clean. Her family enjoyed many wonderful meals that she prepared. Surviving Hazel are her husband of 57 years, Dutch Hamilton of Mancos; her daughter, Sharon Bruce and husband, Robert of Bullhead City, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Eldon and Kirby Burris; three brothers; and one sister. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held.
