On Monday, April 17, 2023, Hazel, loving mother and grandmother went on to be with the Lord at the age of 97. She was born on December 23, 1925 to James and Eva (Lawson) Harris in Bartlett, Kansas in the same home her daddy was born in. She was definitely a daddy's girl and spoke lovingly about him often. She married her love, Paul Leonard on September 8th, 1942 and together they raised 4 children - Hays, Peggy, Lorraine, & Linley. Paul passed away in 1986. She later married Edward Yuskis in 1986 who passed away in 2017.
Hazel had such a love for her family and she was bold in her love and testimony for Jesus Christ. Anyone who was blessed to meet her was met with compassion, kindness, hospitality and a divine love that words cannot express. Her presence and laughter is one that everyone in the family will feel and miss.
Paul and Hazel farmed for many years and she loved riding on the tractor baling hay. She also worked at the hospital and the Cortez Cleaners. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was in a bowling league. Her favorite pastime was to hunt arrow heads and she found many!
Hazel was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Paul, husband Ed, sons Ronnie and Hays, and daughter Peggy & great granddaughter Annika Leonard. She is survived by her children Lorraine Leonard, and Linley & Zada Leonard, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be forever loved and missed.
