Hazel Irene Mason

HAZEL IRENE (MORTON) MASON Hazel Irene (Morton) Mason was born September 3, 1934 in St. Joseph, Mo. the daughter of Louis Joseph and Stella Irene (Blakley) Morton. She passed away in Monticello, Utah on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the age of 79. Not one to sit idle, Hazel enjoyed cooking, embroidery, reading, and playing Scrabble. She loved to iron. According to her family, Hazel ironed everything. Hazel's grandbabies were her pride and joy, and she especially loved spending time with all of them. Hazel is survived by her daughters, Rhonda L. Combs and husband, Roy of Rifle, Colo., Donna Sue Bailey of Alma, Colo, and Leslie Raye Huskey of Dove Creek; her sons, Trenton Davis Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Dove Creek, Terry Dean Davis of Dove Creek, Michael Steve Davis and wife, Torrie of Dove Creek, and Bradley Dean Davis of Grand Junction; her 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and her brothers, Hershel Morton and wife, Barbara of Dove Creek, and Richard Morton of Allison, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Stella Morton; her first husband who passed away April 7, 1962, Trenton "Poodle" Davis I; her second husband, William Ray Mason; one grandchild, and three great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
