HAROLD LYNN ATWOOD Military inurnment services for Cortez resident Harold Lynn Atwood will be held on Friday, June 19 at 10:15 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery at Staging Area "C" in Denver, Colo. Harold passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the age of 64. He was born the son of Kenneth Howard and Evelyn Lois (Keller) Atwood on January 25, 1951 in Palmer, Alaska. An energetic and active man, Harold most likely would be found outdoors involved in one of his favorite activities. His passions were target shooting and fishing, as well as most sports. He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed working on cars, and watching NASCAR racing. The past 20 years Harold worked at Tuffy Security Products with his daughter and son-in-law. Most important to Harold were his two granddaughters, Ava and Ellie, whom he would do anything for. Surviving Harold are his daughter, Dani Gregory and husband, Shawn of Dolores; his mother, Evelyn L. Atwood of Englewood, Colo.; two granddaughters, Eva and Ellie Gregory; his siblings, Robert Crites and his wife, Barbara, and their family of Gilbert, Ariz., Cindy Arnold of Ridgway, Colo., Rodger Atwood and wife, Jeanne of Denver, Colo., Mark Atwood of Denver, Colo., and Christine Coronado of Denver, Colo.; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
