Gwenda Louise Vallery

GWENDA LOUISE VALLERY Memorial services for longtime area resident Gwenda Louise Vallery will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 5 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Gwenda was born November 17, 1952 in Louisville, Colo. the daughter of Barbara Lybarger. She passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 63. On November 18, 1972, Gwenda married Robert Emmet Vallery in Erie, Colo. She was a dedicated teacher who was committed to educating her students. A generous woman, Gwenda would help anyone in need. She became a mother to all of her students. In her free time, Gwenda enjoyed traveling, watching NASCAR and sewing. Her grandchildren and dogs meant the world to her. Cooking was a passion of Gwenda's and she took great pride in teaching her grandchildren to bake. Surviving Gwenda are her loving husband, Bob Vallery of Dolores; her children, Eric Lybarger (Mengling Feng) of Littleton, Colo., Tonja Vallery (Chance Ozment) of Cortez, Regina Gaglione (Carlo) of Houston, Tex., Tera Brito (Omar) of Dolores; her nine grandchildren, Myranda, Jeremy, Karston, Rayder, Gabriella, Alicia, Kavi, Georgia, and Lilly Bea; and her beloved dogs, Bunny and Cora. Gwenda was preceded in death by her mother.
