Gregg Milton Leighton

GREGG MILTON LEIGHTON Memorial services for Gregg Milton Leighton, lifelong Cortez resident, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 24 at the Pavilion at Parque de Vida. Gregg was born August 21, 1952 in Durango, Colo. to Robert Lee Leighton and Madelyn Grace (Murray) Leighton. He passed away at University Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Gregg was 62 years old. He grew up the middle of three boys and attended Montezuma Cortez High School. Gregg started working at Notah Dineh Trading Company with his dad in the summer of 1975 and continued to work until his semi-retirement in 2014. If not at the store, he could be found in his garden or on the golf course. Surviving Gregg are his partner, Emily Holder of Cortez; a daughter, Candice Leighton of Denver; a son, Chuck Leighton of Cortez; his mother, Madelyn Daley of Cortez; and two brothers, Larry Leighton and companion, Evelyn Sue Tompkins, and Glenn Leighton all of Cortez.
