GLORIA CONDON RICHETTS

  Graveside services for Gloria Condon Richetts will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Lebanon Cemetery.

  Gloria Condon Richetts passed away at her home in Cortez, CO on June 3, 2023. She was 92. Gloria was born on July 3, 1930 in Pasadena, California. She grew up in both Bakersfield and Pasadena, California. She raised her extraordinary family in Pasadena and Sierra Madre, California. She was the mother of 19 children, grandmother of 39, great grandmother of 48 and great, great grandmother of 1.

  Gloria was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In early years she was a Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout mom and a youth group leader at St Elizabeth’s church in Pasadena, California.

   In her 50s, Gloria returned to school and received her high school diploma. She continued educating herself and eventually completed the requirements for a master’s degree in childhood development at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California. She went on to establish and develop on site child care centers at hospitals and churches in California. All of this was accomplished without ever acquiring a driver’s license or driving a car.

   On any given day, you could ask her how she was doing, and she would start with her oldest and, in order, run down the list

… letting you know what everyone was doing.

   Her family and friends will grieve her loss but remember her spirit.
