GLADYS MARIE TODD Funeral services for lifelong area resident Gladys Marie Todd will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 15 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Gladys was born April 18, 1931 in Olathe, Colo. the daughter of Lewis and Violet (Ashby) Nation. She passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her granddaughter's residence at the age of 85. On April 23, 1950 Gladys married Vernon Delno Todd in Tulare, Calif. She was a devoted member of the General Assembly and Church of the First Born. Gladys drove a school bus for 25 years and cleaned homes for 60 years. She had an extensive doll collection and Gladys enjoyed making quilts and cooking. Surviving Gladys are her children, Arveta Lewis of Haskell, Okla., Marilyn Herrmann (Troy) of Dolores, Vernon James Todd (Betty) of Arizona City, Ariz., Judy Morton (James) of Eugene, Ore., Emory Todd of Tulare, Calif., Donnie Todd (Sandra) of Casa Grande, Ariz., Dean Todd of Seattle, Wash., and Allen Todd (Tami) of Vici, Okla.; 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild; and by her sister, Betty Carrie McCracken of Montrose, Colo. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Vernon Todd; by her brothers, Thomas and Lawrence Nation; by her son-in-law, Orville Haskell; and by her great-grandson, Bret Herrmann.
