Geraldine Terese 'Gerry' Marler

Funeral services for Cortez resident Geraldine Terese ‘Gerry’ Marler will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Cortez, CO. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery in Dolores, CO. A celebration gathering will be held at 2 p.m. following the services at the cul-de-sac at 1540 Arrowhead Lane, Cortez, CO. Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Ertel Memorial Chapel.
Gerry was born October 8, 1931 in Chicago, IL the daughter of John Joseph and Ruth Frieda Elsie (Appenbrink) Hourihan. She passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at her residence at the age of 90.
Surviving Gerry are her children, Jacqulyn Pearl Daughety (Jerry) of Horseshoe Lake, AR, Carolyn Ann Scott of Bullhead City, AZ, and Kathalyn Louise Marler of Cortez, CO; her sisters, Patricia McGinnis (Skip) of Tonto Basin, AZ, Cheryl LoStracco of Phoenix, AZ; her sister-in-law, Virginia Hourihan of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, Duaine Blake (Jody), Robert Blake, Sheila Blake, Edith Marler, Ruth Marler (Scott), Julianne Bruce (Aaron), Autumn Daughety, April Manley (Pete), Alicia Whitaker, Keith Naylor (Sally), and Clay Tillia (Deborah); 16 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, James Franklin Marler Sr; her son, James Franklin Marler Jr; and her siblings, Jackie Hourihan, Jimmy Hourihan, Bobby Hourihan, Ruthie Banville, and Joseph Hourihan.
