Gerald Fredrick Gunderson

GERALD FREDRICK GUNDERSON Gerald Fredrick Gunderson was born March 24, 1936 in Burley, Ida. the son of Leo Gerald and Margaret Ann McCormick Gunderson. Jerry, a Cortez resident since 1998, passed away on Wednesday, November 18 at his residence at the age of 79. Jerry married Ikuyo Moori on April 4, 1962 in Tokyo, Japan. Jerry served as a member of the United States Air Force. He was employed for 25 years with Colorado State Port of Entry. Jerry enjoyed gardening, cats, fish and animals in general. Jerry is survived by his wife, Ikuyo Gunderson; his children, Edward Gunderson of Kingston, Wash. and Gayle Parsons (Dale) of Centennial, Colo.; and his siblings, Leonard Gunderson (Sheryl), Jim Gunderson (Maxie), Gretta Pack, Don Gunderson, Kathleen Gunderson, Colleen Piester (Dennis) and Scott Gunderson (Susie). Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marion Gunderson and Sonia Toni. Donations may be made in memory of Jerry to For Pets' Sake Humane Society, PO Box 1705, Cortez, CO 81321.
