Georgiann 'Jan' Foster

Georgiann “Jan” Foster, age 70, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2019 at her home in Dove Creek, Colorado. Jan was born on October 7, 1948 in San Diego, California, the daughter of George and Anna Clark.
Jan was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother and friend. She loved the sun and spent many summers on the Colorado River where she enjoyed boating and relaxing in the water with her family and friends. She instilled the value of hard work to her children. After graduating from Mount Miguel High School and raising her family, Jan graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. She took pride in her work in the legal profession, specializing in workman’s compensation fraud. In retirement, Jan enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of her pets, and spending time with friends. She even served on the Dolores County Planning Commission.
Jan is survived by her husband of 21 years, David Erickson; children Joe (Teri) Foster, David (Kristy) Foster, and Michelle (Matt) Medina; step-daughter, Jennifer (Bruno) Mickadeit; grandchildren Niki, Stephanie, Lacey, Jacob, Bryce, John, and Lola; brother Bob (Sharon) Clark; and half-siblings John (Carol) Clark, Jim Clark, and Sue (Rob) Riingen.
The family wishes to thank Jan’s close friends Linda and David McCart who helped care for her during her short battle with cancer.
