Gary Shane Foster

Memorial services for Gary Shane Foster of Cortez will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26 at the Montelores Baptist Church. Shane was born on September 21, 1969 in Denver, Colorado to Seciel Gale and Linda Margaret (Flanagan) Foster. He passed away on April 21, 2017 at his home at the age of 47. Shane was a paraplegic from the time he was 18 years old. He was an experienced auto mechanic, primarily with transmissions. He worked tirelessly from his wheelchair and using a creeper. Shane loved fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed all types of music. Shane is survived by his parents, Seciel and Linda Foster of Cortez; his brother, John Foster (Robyn) of Cortez; his grandmother, Edith Flanagan of Cortez; his aunt, Elaine Uranga (Greg) or Cortez; his uncle, Buff Flanagan of Cortez; his nieces, Autumn Baker(Derek) and Amber Foster; nephews Kyle Foster and Steven Foster; his great nephew, Sebastian Foster; his stepchildren, Dominic, Alecia, and Leticia; and numerous cousins. Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby and Jesse Foster, Violet Conrad, and Lloyd Flanagan; also by his uncle, John S. Foster; and his aunt, Carry Lee Philips
