Gary Mahlon Webb was born August 24, 1940 in Boulder, CO the son of Herbert Dickenson and Ruth Eleanor (Eisenmann) Webb. He passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Vista Grande in Cortez, CO at the age of 80.
Gary was a professional tennis player, sponsored by Pancho Gonzalez, a legendary tennis player, with a post-tour career teaching Hollywood stars of his generation such as Kirk Douglas, Goldie Hawn, and Efrem Zimbalist Junior, among others in Palm Springs, CA and at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, CA. Gary was very athletic, a top diver, and a published poet. And though well-travelled, Gary knew that, being born in Colorado, he would die in Colorado.
Surviving Gary are his sister, Beverly Cantrell (Boyd Reimann) of San Clemente, CA; his nephews, Christopher Troy Cantrell (Lisa Liu) of San Francisco, CA, and Mark Alexander Cantrell of San Francisco, CA. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Carolyn Rochelle (Webb) Briley.
