FREDDIE PAUL LOPEZ Funeral Mass for Grand Junction, Colo. resident Freddie Paul Lopez will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 8 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. A Rosary service will begin at 6 p.m. at the church. Freddie Paul Lopez, age 56, died July 1, 2016 following a long illness. He was born September 8, 1959 in Cortez Colo. Freddie was the son of the late, Frankie Ted Lopez and of Beatrice Gustamantes-Lopez of Summit Ridge. Freddie had been employed as a Consultant in the oil industry for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, music, dancing, watching westerns and taking Mom to the casino. Freddie was family man, a jokester, he was loving, kind and a hardworking oil field man. Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Ted Lopez; his nephew, Donnie Velasquez; his uncles, Abel and Tommy Lopez; paternal grandparents, Frankie and Juanita Lopez; maternal grandparents Richard & Genoveva Gustamantes; and by his uncle, Victor Lopez. Freddie is survived by two daughters, Amy (Carlos) Felix of Grand Junction Colo., and Tamica Lopez (Daniel Niebla) of Las Vegas Nev.; and by five grandchildren, Diana, Luis, Ismael, Leon, and Miya. He is also survived by his mother, Beatrice Lopez; brother, Frank Lopez; sister, Diana Velasquez (Toby); and many nieces and nephews.
